Aussie Shepard Left Inside Car Near Groveland Animal Rescue Facility: Police

Authorities in Groveland are expected to charge a woman with animal cruelty for allegedly leaving puppy inside of a car near an animal rescue facility this week.

The Australian Shepard was found abandoned inside a car in an alleyway near Sweet Paws Rescue, located at 310 Main Street, around 3 p.m. on Monday, April 17, Groveland Chief Jeffrey T. Gillen reports. The dog was injured.

Officers identified the suspect as a blonde woman driving a black Mazda SUV who was last seen wearing a black Maine School of Law sweatshirt. The woman will be summoned to appear at the Haverhill District Court at a later date, Gillen reports.
